Just a quick post. Today was the last day of school for my kids (hooray!). And as always, I gave each teacher a little treat as a thank you for inspiring my kids throughout the year. I usually bake an item as part of their gift. And this year was carrot cake! I packaged them up in tissue paper and put them in gift bags (bought in bulk) I purchased from Michaels.
I just wanted to share the tags that I created for the gifts. I wanted to make each teacher a card but time simply ran out.
Sorry for the pics. I took them right before the kids brought them to school today. Hopefully, you get an idea of what they look like and how I made them.
To create the tags, I used PTI’s Tag Sale #3 die for all three tags shown. I masked around the stitched border just using post-it notes to keep the image inside the stitching. Images and sentiments that I used came from Paper Smooches Smarty Pants and Lawn Fawn A Good Apple – perfect sets to make teacher thank you notes. I used a Stamp-a-ma-Jig (a must have) to make one continuous clean line of images on a few of the tags. Images were colored with Prismacolor Pencils and I also dabbed glossy accents on one of the apples and the professor’s tie. Easy peasy. I created 5 tags in total and I was done (whew!).
