Lovely Leaves

Greetings!

In many parts of the U.S., Fall is slowly creeping among us.  Where I live, we don’t really experience the beauty of this lovely season like in the Northeast.  I miss that very much.

All week, the Penny Black Design Team is showcasing cards with leaves.  I, unfortunately, did not receive the new release fall stamps on time but wanted to participate using past stamp sets.  In this case, I used the beautiful stamp set, Foliage Fancy (30-138) designed by Nina Brackett.

For this card, I used various pigment inks to create the hues of a autumn leaf.  I used sponge daubers to add the ink to the stamp image.  I then used the outline stamp of the same leaft type to emboss with gold embossing powder.  To finish, I added a sentiment from the Gratitude (30-105) clear set.

Stick around and visit the blog all week.  The rest of my fellow Penny Black designers have more beauties to show you!
