A Very Happy Birthday

It’s June and it’s already so hot here.  I’m looking forward to visiting family and escaping the heat very soon.

Here is a birthday card I created using watercolor and a few neglected stamps.

SUPPLIES Stamps: Come Rain or Shine (30-236); Special Thoughts (30-338) Color: Gansai Tambi Watercolor (Kuretake); Prismacolor Pencils; Black Licorice Hybrid Ink (MFT); Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger) Other: Versamark (Tsukineko); White Embossing Powder (Zig); Sequins; Watercolor Paper (Strathmore)

The card was simple to make.  I stamped the flower image from Come Rain or Shine (30-236) twice diagonally across from each other on a watercolor paper panel.  The images were colored with my Gansai Tambi set and then further highlighted with Prismacolor Pencils.  My sentiment from Special Thoughts (30-338) was stamped with Versamark on a black cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder.  I randomly added Antique Linen Distress Ink throughout the panel and splattered black ink with a small brush.  The sentiment was adhered to the panel with foam tape.  To complete the panel I added sequins and then adhered to a white card base.

Stay cool!
