Hello!
Today, I am sharing you two projects that I created for Penny Black’s latest release Pocket Treasures. All week, we’ve been sharing a scrapbook or a Project Life page as well as a card using the stamps and dies from this release.
My projects were showcased this past Tuesday, July 15th.
Let me show them to you now.
Tuesday was my son’s 10th birthday and I thought I’d start with the card I created to celebrate his day.
For this card, I thought a picture of him as an infant would be great to mark how much he has grown. Time flies, doesn’t it? I thought I’d use bright colors for the card to stand out as well as sparkly alpha letters.
For directions on how I made this card, click here. Also, PB listed the wrong stamp set (completely my fault as I gave them the wrong info And I just only noticed today!) I used Let’s Chat (30-244), not Life’s Journals for this card.
My second project is a scrapbook page I created to commemorate my grandmother’s 100th birthday party. To be honest, I don’t scrapbook. I find making cards much easier and less time consuming. In any case, I had a lot of fun thinking through the layout and creating the page.
This is one of my favorite pictures I took during my grandmother’s birthday party. In this picture, my mother is helping my grandmother dance to “Pearly Shells”. They both are clearly enjoying this moment. It was a joyous day.
And this year, my family celebrated again for her 101st birthday! Woohoo!

I hope you enjoyed the rest of the team’s projects. They’re all gorgeous! You can check them all on the Penny Black blog.
Until next time.
