Love, Joe & Peace

Happy December!

I’m slowly (very slowly) checking off my Christmas to-do list.  Here is another Christmas card to share.

untitled-0976-2

SUPPLIES Stamps: Bells & Boughs (PTI); Silver Bells (WPlus9); Woodland Wreaths (WPlus9); Believe (Penny Black: 30-310) Dies: Bells & Boughs (PTI) Color: Various Green Inks (Hero Arts); Versafine Black Onyx (Tsukineko); Clean Color Watercolor Markers (Kuretake) Other: Clear EP (Ranger); Queens Gold EP (Ranger)

I used a variety of stamps to create my leaf border.  They were stamps with various hues of dye ink.  I added a few red berries to add a change of color.  The bells and ribbon were stamped and embossed with gold powder.  I colored them with watercolor makers.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.

Until next time!

Sympathy Card

A dear friend passed away suddenly last month.  It took me by surprise.  She was a caretaker to my children – a warm, kind and loving woman.  She left us too early – just getting to know her new grandchild.  My heart, as well as my family’s, goes out to hers.

I decided to make this card for her family.

Stamps: with florish (Penny Black); Fresh Cut Florals (WPlus9); Sympathy (Words to the Rescue - Art Gone Wild)

May she rest in peace.

Case Study Challenge #145

Hello!

I decided to play along with this week’s Case Challenge #145.  The muse for June is Lisa Spangler.  I love her clean and modern style!  Here is her gorgeous card:

There are so many beautiful things about Lisa’s card.  I so love the embossed background and I love the simple sketch.  I took these 2 elements and used that in my card.

SUPPLIES Stamps: Diamond Pattern (40-169), Eloquence (30-162) - both Penny Black; Heartfelt Mix (WPlus9) Dies: Banner Trio (WPlus9) Inks: Distress Inks (Tim Holtz/Ranger); Turquoise Archival Ink (Ranger); Butter Bar Mid Tone Ink (Hero Arts); Watermelon Pigment Ink (Ranger); Black Dye Ink (Hero Arts) Other Versamark (Tsukineko); White Embossing Powder (American Crafts); Pearls (Michaels)

SUPPLIES Stamps: Diamond Pattern (40-169), Eloquence (30-162) – both Penny Black; Heartfelt Mix (WPlus9) Dies: Banner Trio (WPlus9) Inks: Distress Inks (Tim Holtz/Ranger); Turquoise Archival Ink (Ranger); Butter Bar Mid Tone Ink (Hero Arts); Watermelon Pigment Ink (Ranger); Black Dye Ink (Hero Arts) Other: Versamark (Tsukineko); White Embossing Powder (American Crafts); Pearls (Michaels); Glossy Accents (Ranger)

For the background, I stamped and white embossed the Penny Black background stamp Diamond Pattern on white CS panel.  I then randomly sponged various yellow Distress Inks (Scattered Straw, Old Paper and Antique Linen) on panel, leaving small areas of white.  From the clear set Eloquence, I stamped and fussycut the 3 different size flowers in turquoise, yellow and red ink.  Pearls were added to the center of each flower and randomly scattered on the CS panel.  Finally, I added a sentiment (from the WPlus9 set, Heartfelt Mix) on 2 different size banners.

And just a few things to share over at Penny Black…
